Chorus:
To you I sing this song because you're beautiful/my memories of you so sweet and that's why I miss you so/.
All I remember are years full of love and encouragement/you must have been heaven sent your time on this earth was spent/lending a hand to those in need so far greed/never corruptible but always planted good seeds/your children arise and call you blessed/ain't another who could ever take your place I stress/the importance of your role holding a family together/the foundation a great role model and one who's weathered/many storms in life yet managed to survive them all/through trials and tribulations you continued standing tall and made sure to motivate and even encourage/to those who were against you you would still never discourage/what a light unique beauty woman of virtue/who continued speaking life and blessings/would never curse you what a giver possessor of charity and peace/when the world as so cold your essence was our fleece/.
How I remember the many Sunday dinners the unity/when all would come together glad I had the opportunity/to be in your presence and learn what it means to give/you let me know it's not about me this life I live/is for the Lord just surrender your all/leave it in the hands of Jesus He's the One I should call/and I do saw the way that God was working through you/even when your health was bad it was church you went to/and I can never forget your macaroni & cheese/cornbread and desserts always seemed to please/crowded house as we supped many mouths to feed/always made sure none of your loved ones were in need/always a plate to eat always a place to sleep/hospitality your specialty a promise you'd keep/if I can only be half the woman that you were/that would be more than enough for sure/
It was hard watching the various stages of your sickness/taking over your interior it seemed with the quickness/the different stages in appearance as you started to fade/from our sight in the physical yet somehow you made/sure that our spirits were remaining high as we continued to pray/the grace of God would deliver you from this day/but instead God had a greater plan in store/He would take you from this evil world and give you much more/like healing and deliverance a body that's new/no more sickness and pain but peace and joy that's true/I can still hear your voice your laugh smell your perfume/pleasant memories you've left us as we must resume/our earthly habitation until we see you again/you're alive in our hearts you're a perfect ten/the devil thought he had victory but to that I must nod/cuz to be absent from the body is to be present with God/.
